Product Description

Britmet – Slate 2000 – Lightweight Metal Roof Tile (0.45mm)

The Britmet Lightweight Metal Rooftile Slate 2000 offers a hassle-free installation process and is characterized by its lightweight nature and is suitable for low-pitch roofs. It emulates the appearance of traditional slate with its broken bond finish. This roofing material is available in six colours and requires minimal maintenance. It is constructed using the finest grade Aluzinc steel and coated with a granulated finish.

The lightweight slate 2000 system by Britmet is equivalent to five traditional slates in width and one slate in height. This feature allows for faster installation and cost savings. Manufactured in Britain, the Roofing Slate 2000 delivers exceptional value and outperforms traditional slate and large, flat concrete tiles. It is dry-fixed and guarantees decades of weather protection.

This roofing material is suitable for various applications, including educational and commercial buildings, flat-to-pitch conversions, community centres, vertical cladding, holiday homes, park homes, camping pods, stables, conservatories, lean-tos, and garages.

How many Britmet ‘Slate 2000’ Tiles per square metre:

  • You need 2.17 Britmet ‘Slate 2000’ tiles to cover 1 square metre (2.17 per m²)

Simply, calculate the square meterage of your roof by multiplying the length by the width in metres (L x W = M2), then multiply that square meterage using the guide above.

For example: if you have a 5 metre x 3 metre roof, then the equation would be 5 x 3 = 15, then 15 x 2.17 = 32.55 (rounded up to 33 Britmet ‘Slate 2000’)*.

*DISCLAIMER: This is just an estimated guide based on exact coverages advised by the manufacturer, and does not allow for wastage or cuts. The roofing industry standard for this is to allow an additional 5% to 10%, depending on the roof’s complexity and the skill/experience of the person installing the product, therefore, the final decision on quantity is the responsibility of our customer or the person installing the product.
