Product Description

Metrotile Shingle Lightweight Metal Roof Tile

A versatile profile with the appearance of a small riven slate based on the classic North American timber shingle design, Metrotile Shingle is a simple and elegant solution for any roofing project.

Offering the rooftop quality and style for which Metrotile Lightweight Roofing is renowned, Metrotile Shingle has been designed with a unique “hidden fix” system that also enables the product to double as an excellent vertical cladding solution. This is because the hidden-fix design leaves no nail exposed, preventing rainwater from corroding the nails, a common weakness of traditional vertical cladding.

Metrotile Shingle is the perfect lightweight roofing tile solution for a tiled conservatory roof, due to its wide range of colours, BBA certification, 40 Year Guarantee and it’s low profile appearance.

Metrotile Shingle is available in a wide range of colours and can be fixed from vertically, down to a minimum pitch of 15°. It is the ideal profile for those looking for simple and elegant roofing or cladding solution.

Metrotile Shingle is made from lightweight high-grade steel with aluzinc coating for incredible strength and resistance.

Metrotile Shingle a 40-year weatherproof guarantee.

How many Metrotile Shingle Tiles are needed for a roof…

To work out how many you will need, simply calculate the square meterage of your roof by multiplying the length by the width in metres (L x W = M2), then multiply that square meterage using the guide above.

For example: if you have a 5 metre x 3 metre roof, then the equation would be 5 x 3 = 15 (meters squared), then 15 x 3.2 tiles (number of tiles per square meter required) = 48 (total number of tiles needed).*

*DISCLAIMER: This is just an estimated guide based on exact coverages advised by the manufacturer, and does not allow for wastage or cuts. The roofing industry standard for this is to allow an additional 5% to 10%, depending on the roof’s complexity and the skill/experience of the person installing the product, therefore, the final decision on quantity is the responsibility of our customer or the person installing the product.
